Who is responsible for your information?

Osmova SAS is the publisher of The Kitchen Adventurer and the controller for personal information handled for this publication. Its registered office is 10 Parc Club du Millénaire, 1025 rue Henri Becquerel, Box 95, 34000 Montpellier, France. Its company registration number is 893 382 788.

For a privacy question or a request about your information, write to contact@thekitchenadventurer.com. You may also use Osmova’s official contact channels. The legal notice and terms identify the publisher and selected hosting provider.

When you contact us

An email supplies your email address, the message, any attachments you choose to send, and associated technical information handled by the email services involved. This information is used to understand and respond to your request, investigate a correction, or follow up on the matter you raised. Avoid sending sensitive personal details that are unnecessary for that purpose.

Handling ordinary editorial correspondence serves the legitimate interest of operating the publication and answering readers. A request about a proposed contract may instead require steps taken at your request before entering a contract. Information may also need to be retained to meet an applicable legal obligation or address a dispute.

Kitchen tools run in your browser

The pizza calculator, rice calculator, air-fryer converter, and egg timer calculate locally in your browser. Their current implementation does not send your input values to the site or an analytics service and does not create a server-side calculation history. Reloading or leaving the page can clear the current state.

This does not mean that visiting the page creates no technical communication: your browser still requests the page, its images, styles, and scripts. The calculator values and the ordinary requests needed to load a webpage are different things.

Search and technical requests

A site search sends your search phrase to the server in the page address. That address can appear in browser history and request logs. Do not enter passwords or private personal information into a search intended for food topics.

Serving and securing a website can involve connection information such as IP address, requested page, request time, browser information, and error records. The purpose is to deliver the requested service, diagnose problems, and protect the site. These operational purposes rely on the legitimate interest in maintaining a functioning, secure publication.

Cookies and external services

The editorial administration area uses session and request-protection mechanisms, including cookies for authentication and security. The current public site has no reader account registration, comment form, newsletter signup, or advertising script. The kitchen tools do not store a tracking cookie.

The site uses Google Analytics 4, a Google service, to measure its audience: pages viewed, referring page, device and browser type, approximate location derived from the connection, and similar interaction events. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics storage is set to “denied” by default, so Google Analytics does not set its cookies for those visitors; Google may still receive measurement requests without identifiers stored in the browser. For other visitors, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as _ga to distinguish visits. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

The current design loads fonts through Google Fonts. Your browser can request styles from fonts.googleapis.com and files from fonts.gstatic.com, allowing those services to receive technical request information. See Google Fonts’ privacy explanation. Source links lead to other websites, which apply their own privacy practices after you follow the link.

Who may receive information?

Relevant correspondence is available to the people at Osmova handling the request. Technical providers may process information needed to deliver hosting, email, and the resources requested by your browser. OVH SAS is the selected website hosting provider. External services have their own processing locations and terms; a French publisher address does not establish that every technical request remains in France.

The current site does not send calculator inputs to advertising or analytics providers. If advertising is introduced, this policy and any required consent controls must be updated for the services actually enabled. This page does not imply that an AdSense account or consent platform is already active.

How retention is determined

Correspondence is kept for the period needed to handle the request and any relevant follow-up, unless a legal obligation or a specific dispute requires longer retention. Technical records are kept according to their operational or security purpose and the applicable service configuration. Information no longer needed for its purpose should be deleted or anonymized.

You can ask about information relating to your own correspondence using the contact details above. This policy does not promise a single deletion period for unrelated categories of records or claim that deleting browser history also deletes a message sent by email.

Your rights

Depending on the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability of your personal information, and may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Describe your request and the correspondence or activity concerned. Additional information may be needed where reasonably necessary to verify that the request concerns your data. You may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, CNIL, or another competent supervisory authority.

Changes

This policy describes the services currently present in the editorial build. Changes to contact features, hosting arrangements, analytics, or advertising require a review of the affected information. The page’s update date identifies the latest substantive revision.
